Nominations for Pinnacle Award

Reunion Dinner and Pinnacle Award

You are invited to our first Graduate Reunion Dinner. We wish to take a walk down memory lane with you and your CFAD friends.

This year we are initiating the Pinnacle Award. This is an award to recognise the CFAD Graduate who is an outstanding achiever in the industry. This award acknowledges the initiative of a successful individual who is on the way to becoming a leader in media and design.

Nomination and Awards Procedure
Each graduate can nominate 2 individuals. Your nomination must include a motivation of not more than 200 words with details of the candidate’s work history and why you think the individual is a deserving candidate. Our selection committee will make the final decision. Visit our blog www.artanddesignsa.blogspot.com Click on “comments” below this letter and send in your nomination and motivation.

Tickets must be purchased by 19th July 2008, as prior seating and catering arrangements need to be finalised and space is limited. The evening also includes the graduation, a unique fashion show and the Too Little Too Late Awards initiated by Mr Nanda Soobben. As this is CFAD’s 14th year since it was established, a souvenir brochure is being planned to highlight student achievements etc. Graduates who wish to contribute to this project must contact Larina Naicker as soon as possible.

We are looking forward to sharing this memorable evening with you.

Yours sincerely,

I think that Raneel Singh should receive this award as he stood by CFAD not only during his years of studying here but he continued to help even after he graduated in 2002.Raneel has been giving back to CFAD with such gratitude that brings such an overwhelming feeling to all our hearts...as we can conclude from his actions that he did not only want to gain something from CFAD but he wanted to give back aswell and is still doing so at present time.Raneel is currently running two of his own businesses ,one of which is graphic design business and the other is called Namastek Solutions which is a computer repair business. This youngster is clearly an outstanding individual as he still finds time for CFAD constantly even though he leads such a busy lifestyle. I vote for Prenesh Naidoo, I havent been kept in the loop of CFAD for a while up until recently, but have been progressing with my fellow friends whom i've met over my time at the campus, i feel he should be given the award, due to the outstanding work he has been doing, since his graduation. I believe that his work is an example of his character, which has stemmed from the groundings of CFAD.I see him as an ambassador for the college, due to his diploma obtained, and seems to be setting the benchmark for his students where lectures.

As one of the first to pass through the halls of CFAD, Erasmus Shin has proven his excellence in commercial art and gone the distance.
Erasmus set the precedent here at CFAD in 1994 as an incredible all-rounder and later went on to become Creative Director at Orange Juice Design.

Due to his continued resounding success in the advertising industry, I believe Erasmus is the ideal candidate for this prestigious award.
