Finish the advert for R50 000

Doritos has made four Doritos Collisions ads, but they’re only half-finished.

You have the mad creative skills to finish one (or more). What do you do?
As mentioned, they’re half done....

Soccer South Africa

As the world prepares to enjoy the biggest sporting spectacle to be held in Africa, ordinary South Africans are wondering about the impact this will have on their lives. One thing is certain South Africa would not have seen such a great deal of speedy infrastructure development. New roads, upgraded airport and accommodation facilities, etc...
But the greatest benefit in my view is the huge global marketing opportunities presented before, during and even after the world cup. For once news from South Africa will not be dominated by incompetent politicians and corruption. Lets prepare to welcome the world and show them why South Africa is a unique destination.

WIN R75,000!

Name the Sediba child and you could win R75,000!

In celebration of the discovery of a 1,9-million year old juvenile skeleton in the Cradle of Humankind, by a young South African, Matthew Berger, Wits University and its partners Standard Bank and the Palaeontolgoical Scientific Trust, invite the children of South Africa to name the skeleton.

The juvenile skeleton, whose scientific name is Australopithecus Sediba would have been between 9 and 13 years old when he died at the Malapa site in the Cradle of Humankind.

The learner that submits the winning entry will receive R75,000 towards his/her education, while the school to which s/he belongs will receive a prize of R25,000 to be used for science education purposes and a replica model of the child hominid fossil. The fossil’s name must not be longer than 15 letters and it can be in any South African language. However, learners must submit a story or motivation or a poem (not longer than 150 words) in English on why the Sediba Child should be given the name proposed by the learner.

The competition runs from the 11th of April 2010 and ends at midnight on the 2nd of May 2010. It is open to South African children who must be 18 years or younger as at 2 May 2010. The learner must be enrolled in a high school or primary school in South Africa.

Learners can enter the competition via Facebook, Mobi or MXit.

A panel of judges will select the prize winner and Matthew Berger will be one of the judges on the panel. The winner will be announced on the 31st of May 2010 at the 7th annual PAST Standard Bank Palaeontology public lecture, to be delivered by Prof. Lee Berger in the Wits Great Hall.
