The Indian Animation Ecosystem has for long been one of the most prominent ecosystems in the world for production and co productions. Over the last few years, Indian animation has also developed its own Iconic characters and properties, high quality International Award winning feature films and a strong merchandising, licensing as well as local content industry.

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Academy Award-winning Big Hero 6 became the #1 animated title of 2014 today with more than $620 million globally, edging just past DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon 2. The film, which has earned $221 million domestically, surpasses $400 million at the international box office this weekend.

The Foundry -World Design Capital 2014 Competition
